Flix★Fans Ratings for Netflix - Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 17, 2026
What the extension does
The Flix★Fans Ratings browser extension has a single purpose: it shows the Flix★Fans community rating together with IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic scores on movie and series titles while you browse netflix.com.
Data the extension sends
To look up ratings, the extension sends the Netflix title identifiers and title names that are visible on the page you are viewing to the flix.fans API. These identifiers describe movies and series, not you. The same request may report a (title id, title name) pairing so our catalog can link titles to their Netflix ids.
Data the extension does not collect
- No personal information, accounts or identifiers
- No browsing history and no activity outside netflix.com
- No cookies, credentials or page content beyond title names
- No viewing behavior: what you watch is never transmitted
Requests to the flix.fans API are not linked to a user account and are not used to build profiles. Data is never sold or shared with third parties.
Local storage
The extension caches rating results in your browser for up to 12 hours to avoid repeated requests, and stores one preference (the API base URL). Both live in your browser's extension storage and can be removed at any time by uninstalling the extension.
