Frequently Asked Questions

What is Flix★Fans?

Flix★Fans is an independent fan community for rating, reviewing and discussing everything on Netflix. Browse the catalog of films and series, compare community and critic scores side by side, and join discussions down to the episode level. Flix★Fans is not affiliated with Netflix.

Is Flix★Fans free to use?

Yes. Browsing, rating, reviewing and joining discussions are all free. There is an optional Premium upgrade that supports the site and unlocks extras such as a custom avatar, a verified badge and richer posts, and you can also earn Premium by inviting friends.

How are the ratings calculated?

Members rate titles on a scale from 1 to 10 and every title page shows the community average together with the number of votes. Where available we also show IMDb, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritic scores next to the community score so you can compare.

Can I rate individual episodes or seasons?

Yes. A series can be rated as a whole, per season, or per episode, so a divisive finale does not have to drag down the score of an entire show.

What is the Flix★Fans Chrome extension?

The extension overlays Flix★Fans community ratings plus IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes scores directly on netflix.com while you browse: a star badge on browse cards and a full ratings row on title pages. Each badge links back to the title page on flix.fans.

Do I need an account?

You can browse every title, rating, review and discussion without an account. To rate, review or post you need to sign in, and creating an account is free.

Where does the title information come from?

Catalog metadata such as posters, synopses and release dates comes from TMDB. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. All ratings, reviews and discussions come from the Flix★Fans community.

How do I report a problem or get in touch?

Use the contact email shown in the footer of every page. We read everything, including bug reports, takedown requests and feature ideas.
